Academic Research
Doctoral Research
In my PhD research, I investigate women’s oral stories of their experiences as artists living under the most recent Brazilian dictatorship (1964-1985). I draw on oral sources to better understand past human rights abuses in totalitarian regimes. Additionaly, my research brings to the fore women’s perspectives of their participation in historical events and art movements.
